Fulton Bank Celebrates Ribbon Cutting at Yard 56 Financial Center in Baltimore

(October 19, 2020) BALTIMORE, MD – Fulton Bank recently celebrated a ribbon cutting at its new Yard 56 Financial Center, featuring remarks by NFL veteran, artist and teacher Aaron Maybin, as well as bank leaders.

The financial center at 5715 Eastern Avenue is part of an ongoing expansion by Fulton Bank in Baltimore. The bank opened a financial center and mortgage office on North Wolfe Street last year and is also planning financial centers in Northwood Commons and Federal Hill. They will be among more than 30 locations the bank already operates in Maryland.

“At Fulton Bank, our mission is to change lives for the better, and we do that by working with each customer individually – families and businesses – to understand their goals and then provide the best financial solutions to help achieve them,” said E. Philip Wenger, Chairman and CEO of the bank’s holding company, Fulton Financial Corporation. “Our team is excited to be part of this city, and we’re proud to serve as a local financial advocate here.”

Wenger introduced Maybin, who earned All-American honors as a defensive end for the Nittany Lions at Penn State University -- Wenger’s own alma mater. Maybin went on to play for the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, and Cincinnati Bengals.

“After retiring from football, Aaron returned to Baltimore and has dedicated himself to the community as a teacher, artist, and activist,” Wenger said. “Aaron is leveraging his talents and the acclaim they have earned him, to benefit his neighbors and the city that is his home.

Fulton Bank also presented a $5,000 donation to Eastside Community Development Corporation, to support its homeownership education program.

The Yard 56 Financial Center provides a variety of financial solutions to meet the banking needs of individuals and businesses throughout the Baltimore community. In addition to opening accounts, performing transactions, and offering essential banking services, the team can also demonstrate how to use and assist with the setup of digital solutions, such as online and mobile banking. Scott Welkos is the Financial Center Manager at Yard 56.

The financial center is open Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. As guidance continues to limit the number of individuals inside businesses, we recommend customers make an appointment by calling the financial center at 410-843-2038 or via the Contact Us page on our website.
